St. Anselm's 60th anniversary celebration of PWRDF Primate's World Relief and Development Fund (PWRDFwas a true celebration. This year marks the 60th year of the PWRDF. A brand new logo represents a new outlook toward world emergency assistance and development.

Our worship service had prayers in different languages, an anthem and a skit written by our PWRDF Parish Representative, Shirin. We heard the moving stories of three people in need: a ten year old from Telegraph Creek, BC; a mother of twins from Rwanda; and a teen from Indonesia.

After the worship service everyone stayed for a delicious homemade Indian lunch to benefit PWRDF. The lunch wass a generous donation from the Theophilus family - all funds raised went directly to PWRDF.

Thanks to all who helped make this day happen. Each one of you gave your best to the glory of God. Our PWRDF Diocesan Representative Peter Goodwin attended again this year and was totally blown away. He said he wished people all across the Diocese could see what a small church like ours can do. People were moved by the skit. The prayers were offered with true feeling and it was beautiful to hear so many different languages. The anthem lifted everyone's spirits. The meal was lovingly prepared, and served, enjoyed and cleaned up after with much joy.

We give thanks for the love and support for "PWRDF Sunday" given by all the members of St. Anselm's for more than 20 years now.
