Over the month of October, we celebrate and deepen our commitment to this mutually transformative ministry. Started in 2007 together with the Parishes of St. Helens, St. Philips, and recently St. John's Shaughnessy, this ministry seeks to permanently transform the cycles of poverty on our streets. We continue to build relationships with the city of Vancouver and the University of British Columbia as both hubs and resources to expanding this ministry.
We give thanks for all our ministry participants in the; Indoor team, Outdoor team, Mobile Care Unit, and the Kits Shower program. Thanks be to God for this Ministry!
Below is a video testimony by Marian, one of our volunteers (more videos are on our YouTube Channel). You are also invited to download The Piano Man. This short video tells the story of a Sarasota Florida program to place pianos in the downtown area for anyone to play leading to an extrordinary outcome for one man. It speaks volumes to the possiblilites when compassionate possibilities are provided to those experiencing homelessness— the results can be "more than we can ask or imagine".
