Christmas 2016 was marked once more in the grad pageantry of tradition and ability, with the new addition this year of snow! The city was blessed with coatings of snow in the lead up to Christmas which made services more uncertain. The pews were, as they normally are, full of folks who gathered to welcome the Messiah into the world on Christmas eve and day.

We gathered first on Christmas eve with our now famous and pageant for all ages followed by the first Eucharist of Christmas. We continued the party into the Narthex after the service with a hot chocolate bar for the kids and Christingles for everyone who came.

At 9pm we gathered in the intimacy of candlelight to hear wonderful brass usher in our [almost] Midnight Mass of Christmas. We listened for the voice of God in Word, Song and Sacrament, finishing with a reception in the Narthex afterwards. Christmas Day was a wonderful intimate service of quiet reflection in the midst of a wondrous gift of Christ at Christmas. Just as our Vicar Alex was finishing the Eucharistic prayer of Consecration over the bread and wine, the heavens began to snow gently providing a breathtaking experience of Christmas.
