We are proud and pleased to announce a new concert series beginning this fall in partnership with Early Music Vancouver called "Spirit(us): Exploring the pathways to art, earth, and us." Join us this coming April 26 for an intimate event with Tenor Charles Daniels and Alexander Weimann on Harpsicord.
Founded in the vision and generosity of Dr. Stephen Drance and his family, the program seeks to engage in the creative development, or "spirit" that drives the craft associated with world renowned artists, and our own role in that work in our lives. Our evenings include conversation and performance in our intimate setting at St. Anselm's which is followed by a reception and chance to meet the artists directly.

April 26, 2018- Tenor Charles Daniels, and Alexander Weimann on Harpsicord.
Charles Daniels was born in Salisbury. He was a Chorister and Choral Scholar at King’s College, Cambridge, and studied at the Royal College of Music in London under Edward Brooks. Charles performs frequently throughout Canada where he works with Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra, Early Music Vancouver and the Pacific Baroque Orchestra, Les Voix Humaines, Toronto Consort, and at the Montreal Baroque Festival.
Charles has made over ninety recordings as a soloist including Handel’s Messiah with the Gabrieli Consort for Deutsche Grammophon, Dowland songs for EMI, Wojciech Kilar’s Missa Pro Pace with the Warsaw Philharmonic for CD Accord, Monteverdi Vespers with The Gabrieli Consort and The King’s Consort, Bach Mass in B Minor with Jos van Veldhoven and De Nederlandse Bach Vereniging, Tenorlied by Senfl with Fretwork , two recital discs, one based on ‘Orfeo’, for ATMA, Rubbra’s Amoretti with the Maggini Quartet, The Beggar’s Opera for Hyperion, and much Purcell and Bach.
