St. Anselm's Anglican Church hosts two speaker series each year to connect and inspire. In October our distinguished 'Earth & Spirit' speakers discuss issues that matter to you and the ecological world we live in.

On October 26th at 7:30pm we present Nigel Haggan. Nigel has worked with natural and social scientists, humanists, theologians and Indigenous scholars to enhance collective understanding of the sea from ancient past, to present, to what it might become under different trajectories of natural variability and human desire. Nigel's current focus is on a poetics of partnership—an expansive concept of spirituality/spiritual practice that includes art, science, spiritual and religious traditions, work and the passionate conservation work of ordinary people.

Nigel Haggan grew up between the polite streets of middle class protestant Belfast, the shores of the Irish Sea and the catholic mountain borders of Northern Ireland. Early exposure to different cultures and fourteen years working with Aboriginal people opened his eyes to profoundly different ways of understanding and being in the world.

Each speaker will respond to questions following their talk; the evening will conclude with a reception and social opportunity to chat with the speaker.

All are invited, bring a friend- bring two!

It's not too early to RSVP. Admission by suggested donation of $20, with tax receipts available for donations over $20. All are welcome!
